Jean Kane Named Woman of Influence by Real Estate Forum Magazine

Jean Kane, Welsh President and COO, has been named to Real Estate Forum’s 2009 list of Women of Influence.
Real Estate Forum has been highlighting the accomplishments of women in commercial real estate for the past 16 years, honoring those whose efforts have advanced the industry. This year, 51 finalists were selected from a pool of 250 nominees.
A proven leader in the commercial real estate industry and member of Welsh since 1987, Kane oversees operations of Welsh’s real estate services group, including property, asset and facility management; brokerage; Welsh Construction; Genesis Architecture; Welsh Capital; and FaciliTech.
Kane received the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties’ (NAIOP) 2008 President’s Award for her dedication and outstanding service to the organization, industry and greater community. She serves on the organization’s National Executive Committee and is Vice Chair of Government Affairs.
Kane is the local chapter Chair of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and currently serves on the board of the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District and the Hennepin 2012 Initiative. She also serves as a mentor within her company’s Organization for Welsh Women Leaders.
A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Real Property Administrator (RPA), Kane received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN.
