Minnesota Physician Names Eagan Place to 2009 Health Care Architecture Honor Roll
June 24, 2009
Eagan Place, a medical professional building designed by Genesis Architecture and built by Welsh Construction, has been named to Minnesota Physician’s 2009 Health Care Architecture Honor Roll.
The 32,800-square-foot facility, located at 1215 Town Centre Drive in Eagan, features patient drop-off and pick-up areas, and window spacings specific to exam rooms that serve the needs of medical tenants. Anchor tenants include HealthEast Care Systems and Dermatology Consultants. There is 7,500 square feet still available for lease.
Developed by MSP Commercial, the facility was designed and built with the goal of achieving LEED® Silver Certification. The environmentally-friendly plumbing, lighting and HVAC components are conducive to the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED® guidelines for certification. The design also allows for the protection and preservation of rare native plants within the natural wetlands bordering the site.
Minnesota Physician’s 2009 Health Care Architecture Honor Roll recognizes nine outstanding projects completed in the last year. The facilities differ in intended uses, but share a focus on efficiency and patient-centered care. They also emphasize the importance of the natural environment in healing, featuring nature-inspired color and design schemes and gardens for patients and families to enjoy.
