Welsh is excited to announce the relocation of our corporate headquarters in Bloomington to a new 100,000 square foot office building at Highway 7 and I-494 in Minnetonka called Baker Road Corporate Center.
Due to the extensive efforts of our Welsh Construction, Genesis Architecture, and FaciliTech teams, the building has been awarded Leadership in Energy and Design - Core and Shell (LEED-CS) Gold Level pre-certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Upon completion of the building, there were only three LEED Gold Level Certified buildings in Minnesota and just 250 nationwide.
We are honored to report that our headquarters also recently received an Award of Excellence from the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). The annual awards recognize exceptional new office, industrial and special purpose projects in the state.
The Baker Road project is a culmination of efforts that involved all the company divisions from initial concept to completion. This project and the people who made it possible clearly demonstrate our full-service capabilities and our vision - innovation from the ground up.
